Over the years, Chesapeake Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center has grown to include a team of board-certified orthopedic surgeons with extensive training and impressive experience. Our doctors and physician assistants truly excel in their area of orthopaedics, and they work together to serve patients in our Glen Burnie and Hanover, Maryland locations.

All of the physicians in the practice have privileges at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and many lead the teams of doctors in the surgical and treatment centers.

Terrence M. O'Donovan, MD

Terrence M. O'Donovan, MD

Dr. Terrance O’Donovan is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon. He treats all shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions.

In addition to his years at Chesapeake Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center, Dr. O’Donovan’s experience includes roles as Chief of Orthopaedics at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and as Chief of the Hand Surgery Department at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.

With dedication and commitment to excellence in hand surgery, he has achieved a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in hand surgery, and he has made the Healthgrades Honor Roll.

James J. York, MD

James J. York, MD

Dr. James York is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who treats knee, hip, and shoulder injuries and degenerative conditions. He specializes in sports medicine, advanced arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder, knee, and hip, joint replacement, cartilage transplant surgery, and arthritis.

Dr. York currently serves as Associate Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and as a clinical assistant professor in orthopaedics at the University of Maryland.

In the last 28 years of his career, Dr. York has acquired considerable experience: 3 in the Army and 25 at Chesapeake Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. He has achieved a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine, Top Docs Award, Healthgrades Honor Roll, and several other awards and recognition in the community.

Bryan R. Klepper, MD

Dr. Bryan Klepper is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee and shoulder conditions, joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, fracture care, and general orthopedics. He has achieved Healthgrades Honor Roll.

Hugh O. House, MD

Dr. Hugh House is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in upper extremity surgery (hand, wrist, and shoulder), sports medicine, joint reconstruction, and adult and pediatric trauma. He also treats knee conditions.

Dr. House has acquired considerable experience in the last 15+ years of his medical career, including serving as a team doctor at the high school and collegiate level. He has achieved Healthgrades Honor Roll.
